MEDJOOL DATES
“Majdool” dates are considered one of the finest and most expensive types of dates. It is called the King of Dates and is known in the Maghreb countries as “Mejoul”. Its luxurious status is due to its distinction in terms of taste and quality.
Characteristics of Medjool dates:
• Medjool dates are considered one of the most expensive dates. This is because their cultivation is carried out through a complex process that requires a lot of effort, and the palm trees are naturally pollinated.
• Dates are reddish-brown in color and covered with a light waxy layer. The skin is of medium thickness attached to the flesh and shrinks, forming many rough wrinkles. The thickness of the flesh is 0.5 - 0.7 cm, soft in texture. The taste is delicious, moderately sweet.
• Medjool is characterized by being large in size and rich in fibre.
